A few months ago I received a free copy of the January/February 2013 WebMD Magazine, which I didn’t get around to reading until just a few days ago. There was an interesting infographic about weight loss, including the percentage of overweight and obese Americans and how many people diet every year. The information came from a variety of sources, including the National Weight Control Registry, CDC, NIH, and The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Everyone has heard that our country has an obesity epidemic, but seeing the numbers is startling. Take a look for yourself:
What do you think about these weight loss and diet statistics? Are any of them shocking to you?
