Menu Plan Monday: Week of December 15, 2014

December 15, 2014

Nutritioulicious is getting in the holiday spirit this week by celebrating Hanukkah, my birthday, and National Pear Month!

Hope you all had a great weekend and is getting a good start to your week! It’s going to be another busy one here – I’m sure everyone feels the same way with the holidays creeping up. This week is certainly going to be a festive one in my house.

Hanukkah starts Tuesday night, which happens to also be my birthday, so here’s how my week is looking: dinner with my girlfriend’s Tuesday, nursery school Hanukkah party Wednesday, celebratory birthday dinner with my parents Thursday night, Hanukkah party at a friend’s house Saturday night, and we’re hosting a family Hanukkah party on Sunday night! It’s going to be an eating extravaganza this week, which means I’ll be making use of the good ole holiday party dos and don’ts, the key of course being to keep everything in balance!

Also this week, we’re celebrating National Pear Month here at Nutritioulicious. Be on the lookout for fun and nutritious facts about pears, a delicious pear soup recipe, and a pear recipe roundup you won’t want to miss!

  1. Happy early Birthday! Thursday is my birthday, and I have a few bday dinners lined up this week also. It’s rough having a bday around the holidays with the amount of eating that goes on. I try to save my indulgences (desserts & appetizers) for nights out and work-out a lot the week of holidays.
