Julie & Julia Coming Soon!

Last night I went to the movies with my husband Andy, and one of the previews was for “Julie & Julia,” due out August 7th.  In case you haven’t heard about this movie yet, it’s about a secretary who embarks on a year-long culinary quest to cook all of the recipes in Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.”  Not only does it star two great actresses, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, but it’s also about delicious food.  So, needless to say, I am very excited for this movie to come out!

Interestingly, in today’s NY Times Dining & Wine section, there is an article about the food in the movie and how food stylists are becoming more important for movies than ever before. In the past, edible food was not as important to directors and viewers as it is now.  I guess that’s what happens when everyone becomes a self-proclaimed “foodie”!
