Sweet and tangy orange maple salmon takes less than 30 minutes to make and has only five ingredients. The perfect weeknight meal for the whole family!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice (I used freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons grainy Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons minced or grated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to bake or roast at 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil* and place salmon fillet on top, skin side down.

  2. In a small mixing bowl or measuring cup, whisk together orange juice, maple syrup, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper, to taste. Brush a few layers of sauce on fish and let stand about 5 minutes.

  3. Place baking sheet in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness. If the top isn't golden, broil salmon for 2-3 minutes more.

  4. While the fish is cooking, heat marinade in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes at 70% power. Cover to keep warm and set aside.

  5. Serve salmon with reduced marinade on top. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

*Note: I do not grease the foil on the baking sheet so the salmon skin sticks to the foil, which makes it easier to release the cooked salmon from the skin.
